Henna Tattoos

I use natural red henna for my  henna tattoos.  With so many people worrying about henna tattoos I would like to provide some clarification.  The henna tattoos that have caused scarring were "black" henna tattoos.  This is henna that was mixed with a chemical called "PPD" that cause it to stain the skin with more of a black color than the standard red/brown.  If what I have read is correct PPD is one of the chemicals in hair dye and should absolutely not be used for the application of henna.  I personnally would not use any henna that provides any color stain except the natural red/brown as there is no way to know what is being added to cause the stain in a different color.
