Lotion Bar?  What is a Lotion Bar?

That is the number one question I receive about these little beauties.  A lotion bar is a lotion that is in solid form.  It is much like the lotions that you purchase in the health and beauty stores and supermarkets but it does not have all the excess water.  I love lotion but couldn't stand the "slimy" feeling you get from the liquid lotions.  I started making a solid Lotion Bars and found that since you don't have all the excess water you don't get that feeling.  My lotion bars contain completely natural ingredients with the exception of the fragrance oil.  Since all the oils I use are natural except the fragrance which is man made, they absorb into the skin and provide a lasting effect.  These lotion bars are great for people in the health care profession that have to wash their hands all the time.  Since the oils absorb into the skin instead of forming a layer on the skin the effects last even after washing your hands. 

I also make a 100% natural bug repellant lotion bar.  My “bugs away” lotion bar contains all the same oils as my regular lotion bar but instead of fragrance oil it contains an Essential Oil known for repelling insects.  Unlike the various bug repellants out there that contain "deet", which is a chemical, and are not recommended for use on small children, my lotion bars can be used on all ages.  My only recommendation is when using this lotion bar on small children do not put it on their hands as they tend to put them in their mouth. 

Since these lotion bars are made of oil there is a possibility of melting during shipping in the hot summer months.  Be sure to stock up at the beginning of the season to avoid shipping during these months.
